Area of production:
To the south of the Beaune appellation (Côte de Beaune, Burgundy), the “Les Epenottes” vineyard plot is located on the border of the Pommard appellation.

Grape variety:
100% Pinot Noir – Dry red wine.

Geology:
Clay-rich lime soils on hard Oxfordian limestone.

Vinification:
Traditional Burgundian method in open vats with twice daily treading down and long maceration for maximum extraction.

Tasting notes:
Beaune Les Epenottes is of a deep and full garnet red. The nose is highly delicate with sweet spices, black plum and black tobacco. Its body is big and full with beautiful balanced structure.

Food Pairing:
Beaune Les Epenottes goes well with finely prepared red meats, mild tasting game, and mild cheeses. Serve at 63°F.

Conservation: Beaune Les Epenottes can be kept 7 years or more in optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
