Mezcal Brije is born in a journey to Oaxaca, to promote and spread the handcrafted work of artisans in the Oaxacan communities. Every bottle is hand painted by Oaxacan artisans from San Martin Tilcajete “The town where Alebrijes were born”. Amazing designs per agaves (Espadin - Flowers / Tepextate - Mandalas / Cuishe-Espadin - Skulls).
We are proud to represent historic Oaxacan traditions: the “Barro Negro - Black Clay” from San Bartolo Coyotopec, Alebrijes of San Martin Tilcajete and Mezcal from Santiago Matatlán.
From the heart of Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, known as the "World Capital of Mezcal," Mezcal Brije is a testament to tradition and craftsmanship. Guided by Maestro Tequilero Don Isaac, this artisanal mezcal blends Espadín, Tepextate, and Cuishe-Espadín agaves, each offering a distinct and captivating character.
Crafted using ancestral methods, the agaves are roasted in an underground stone oven, naturally fermented, and double-distilled, yielding a mezcal of exceptional depth and complexity. With alcohol volumes ranging from 43% to 48%, each expression delivers a bold yet refined taste of Oaxaca’s mezcal heritage.
